INNOVATIVE TEACHERS AWARDS -2010-2011

Dear teachers,

It gives me immense pleasure to announce the names of teachers who have been selected in the firstphrase to proceed ahead with their innovative projects for the Innovative Awards

It’s now 10 years since Prof. Sugata Mitra instigated his amazing “hole –in-the- wall” Innovative learning technology experiment in an Indian Slum in kalkaji , New Delhi.

The “hole in the wall” experiment captured attention worldwide and its now challenging many ofthe long-held beliefs and assumption about processes and systems of learning. It also inspired Indian
Diplomat Vikas Swaraji to write the first novel. Q and A, which was recently turned into a multi award winning “Slumdog Millionaire”

If illiterate children, given to appropriate learning environment, can teach themselves computer skills and highly complex foreign language on their own, what might be possible in our classroom??? Think!!

To find out more about “hole –in –the-wall” experiment visit “www.hole-in-the-wall.com”

Let me take this opportunity to congratulate all the teachers mentioned below and invoke the blessings of the almighty to be a guiding light throughout their project. The very thought of applying for the Awards shows their readiness to work, the confidence in them and their innovative spirit. This means they are deserving leaders.
