Onam At It’s Glory in Indian Central School

Indian Central School celebrated the harvest festival of Kerala, Onam in its true sense.  The whole school became a venue of excitement and extreme Joy when King Mahabali, the noble king of great values  who ruled ancient  Kerala was enacted by a member of the school. King Mahabali was escorted  by the “Chenda Melam “ a team of men who played  the special drums of Kerala. The vibrant beats and the Onam Pattu sung by more  than 70 teachers added glory to the event. King Mahabali visited every class with the escort of the Chenda mellam and Pulli Kalli an other dance form of Kerala which is performed during Onam celebrations.

The students celebrated Onam with a special assembly related to  the various dance forms and programs of Kerala during Onam . The  message of Good living and Truthfulness to the present generation was the theme of the program as it is the message of Onam. The team of 300 and more teachers and office staff celebrated Onam at the school auditorium with various Onam Dances, Songs and  Payasam a delicacy of Onam to cool their taste buds.
